Please respond quickly as I am limiting the number to 8 students per class.

The classes are $15/class. 
I like to get a month's commitment, if at all possible, since some projects require two weeks (sometimes 3 weeks with drying time!)

*********  What we do in the Children's Art Classes:

    Since your children are just coming in from school, we start out with a snack (graham crackers, pretzels, lemonade - simple stuff).  We chat a bit about our day and then discuss the art project.  My art classes are somewhat structured.  I've found that it is easier to be creative in this kind of atmosphere.  The small class size allows for individual attention. 

     I encourage sharing, discussing art, being kind and supportive, taking responsibility for your supplies and area and team work for problem solving and clean up. 

    My projects are structured to introduce children to the elements of art:  line, color, pattern, texture, (etc.)  in a way that is fun and creative.   I like problem solving and encourage that in my students.  
   
    We will probably work with paint, ink, brushes, collage, book forms, paper mache or other 3D media.  (I say "probably" because the children are my guides.  In other words, if I have a class full of painters, we'll paint more.) 

    I love books, working in them and using them as springboards.  I also love music and the parallels you can draw between making art and making music.  I try to pull in art parallels to things your children may be doing in their lives.
